Beetle of Braigh

Concept art by the incredible Nick Bray, thank you for letting me use your art! :D

I initially wanted to create a fully modular character, separating the armor pieces from the clothing. But even without working with a polycount budget, I ended up combining the 3 layers of clothing since I felt the polycount was getting out of hand :')

The iridescent effect was initially created in UE5, but I was able to get a similar effect in Marmoset, experimenting with the Clearcoat settings. So I opted for the simpler renderer.

Thanks for stopping by!

"The vibrant hues of the metal seem to change from one moment to the next as light moves across it - a product of the mysterious forging process that is the signature of Hennai blacksmiths."
